Christelle Bourquin

Deputy Director Cyber Security Unit under the MOD of Sweden

Christelle Bourquin is Deputy director and head of Information and cybersecurity policy at the Ministry of Defence under the Minister for Civil defence. She has worked more than 10 years focusing specifically on technology-related policy, including R&D and innovation, critical, emerging, and disruptive technology policy, and cybersecurity. Previous positions include Team manager for national and international research contracts at the Royal Institute of Technology Research Office and Group manager of Defence R&D and critical technologies, at the Ministry of Defence.

She has more than 20 years of experience in EU affairs and has, among other things, headed the Swedish negotiation team for the European Defence Fund. Christelle has also represented Sweden as delegate in numerous CION executive committees within defence and space technology areas. Before taking up her current position, she was a national expert (VNC) for Sweden at NATO International Staff in the Division for Emerging Security Challenges and its Innovation Unit and the DIANA transition team.
